There are a ton of people who love pets. I am emphatically one of those people. My childhood was filled with having pets of every kind. However , my favorite pet is a dog. I had a couple of dogs as a child and my parents have two dogs now. My husband doesn’t like pets though, so we don’t have any unfortunately. I just have to enjoy other people’s pets, especially their dogs .
My husband is right that there are a bunch of factors you have to consider if you want to get a dog. Not only do you have to pay for the initial cost of the dog, but you also have to pay to get shots for it and to get it spade or neutered. You have to pay for their dog food, which a lot of people now pay for the more expensive kind of food. Of course, there are the vet bills that you will have to pay on random occasions , so that’s not fun. Making sure they have their pet flea medicine is another chore. You have to clean up their waste and get them toys that they end up destroying. Those are all the negatives though, so let’s talk about the pros of having or getting a dog.
There are a lot of great things about having a dog. To me, all of the negatives of getting a dog don’t mean a thing when compared to the positives . They are a constant companion and friend. They are constantly there for you no matter what. They are so much fun to play with and have around. They love to snuggle, which is definitely my favorite part about dogs . They are always so happy and that just makes you happy . Not to mention that they are each so cute and have their own personalities. Possibly one day I’ll be able to talk my husband into getting a dog. Until then , I’ll just enjoy my friends and family’s dogs and pets.
